Key words: Encephalitis, Epstein-Barr virus
The neurological complications of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) primary infection are frequently overlooked. Yet EBV is responsible for some cases of acute encephalitis. Our case showed a favourable outcome after treatment with acyclovir for ten days, with no neurological sequelae development.
